From the Garden To Your Home

This time of year, I can't wait to get my hands in the dirt. I spend most of my spring and summer hours out in the garden; digging, planting, checking what's new. I'm always looking for simple ways to bring that same fresh, easy feeling into my home. A little green on the table, a soft floral print by the window, just enough to make a space feel like it's breathing with the season.

I'd love to share a few pieces, some practical, some just pretty, that help bring a bit of that garden feeling inside…

FLORAL ART

Floral art is one of the easiest ways to bring a bit of calm into a space. It gives your eye a place to land, something soft and grounding. I like to lean a print on a shelf or hang one above a console (it's fun to have something you can swap out seasonally!) to keep things feeling fresh. Whether it's a vintage-inspired botanical, a loose watercolor, or a simple downloadable print, it doesn't take much to bring that garden feel indoors.

GREEN GLASS

There's something about green glass that instantly feels fresh. It catches the light in the prettiest way and adds a little, organic color without feeling loud. I suggest mixing a few shades together, maybe a deep olive and soft sage, then scattering them on a windowsill, or setting one by the sink with a clipped branch. Even just a single bud vase can bring in that easy, natural feel.

FRESH TEXTILES

Spring linens and textiles are two of my favorite ways to bring nature indoors. Tea towels, pillow covers, or table linens in shades of green, or in a soft, textured linen, add beautiful, soft layers to your space. Think sun-washed greens, flax, and moss to help make your space feel comfortable and natural. Whether it's block-printed fabrics or linen napkins, these small pieces are easy to layer in and swap out with the seasons to keep your space feeling fresh and connected to the garden.

SOFT SCENTS

Scent is a subtle way to bring the garden indoors. I love candles and hand soaps with light floral or herbal notes like lavender, rosemary, or fresh cut grass. The soft, soothing scents often feel warm and familiar. A simple candle on a windowsill or a nicely scented hand soap by the kitchen sink can make everyday moments (like washing the dinner dishes) feel a little more connected to the seasons.

A few simple touches inspired by nature can pull a beloved garden feeling into your home and help make it feel happy and alive. If you'd like some help adding these details, I'm here for you. Whether it's picking out and arranging artwork, finding textiles and linens, or helping to accessorize a whole room, we can make your home feel like a breath of fresh air.
